The Program Director, Finance PMO, will be instrumental in helping to support the organization's financial projects, processes, and systems. You will run point on partnering with the business and IT to manage Finance Projects, Enhancements, and other strategic continuous improvement initiatives. The Program Director should be familiar with overall Finance Functions (Record to Report, Order to Cash and Procure to Pay/Source to Pay, etc.) and be able to relate cross functionally within Finance and act as a liaison for Finance projects.

Finance Projects are typically large and complex programs composed of multiple sub projects and cross functional initiatives. The Program Director will have significant involvement in helping to coordinate efforts related to project management, blueprinting, requirements gathering, process design, testing, data migration, change management, and training. This is an individual contributor role that will have high visibility throughout the company.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS

  • Serve as a key internal point of contact for finance related projects and key deliverables, timelines, and guidance with ongoing business initiatives.
  • Coordinate and develop finance detailed project plans that support Finance Projects and include items such as: defining requirements, milestones, budget, deliverables, and success metrics.
  • Work closely with cross functional department subject matter experts to ensure their buy-in is incorporated into project plans and solutions.
  • Report to key executive sponsors, stakeholders and team members on program/project status and progress including continually managing project expectations.
  • Develop awareness of cross-team dependencies to identify potential risks or issues.
  • Assist in data migration efforts for legacy systems and ensure completeness of data transfer occurs.
  • Help design and coordinate change management processes and communication.
  • Assist in the design and execution of UAT and QA testing plans.
  • Liaison with the business and project teams to identify process improvement opportunities.
  • Become familiar with industry standards and best practices and leverage in future state where possible.
  • Develop communication, engagement, and training requirements.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or information systems.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills, PMP certification is a plus.
  • Experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or knowledge is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, ALM or other tools used to track projects and testing is beneficial.
  • Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.
  • Ability to drive process discovery and improvements that may be indirectly related to the project but require management to reach the larger project goal.
  • Problem solving and root cause identification skills.
  • Familiarity with project management approaches, tools, and phases of a project lifecycle.
  • Experience working on large cross-functional initiatives.
