YOUR IMPACT
The Senior Manager, FinOps will oversee and coordinate multiple structural initiatives- e.g. Implementation of Enterprise Grade FinOps tool, deliver of cloud cost optimization opportunities, improve cloud margin for OpenText products, and inform long term roadmap for the function.
Role will report to Senior Director, Technology Architecture, and will be pivotal in advancing the overall FinOps agenda and long-term roadmap.

WHAT THE ROLE OFFERS
• Lead enterprise-wide FinOps program implementation and maturity e.g. Oversee multiple initiatives to proactively optimize cloud workloads and services
• Establish FinOps governance framework and best practices E.g. Support Business Units and Engineering Teams in understanding, managing, and forecasting their cloud cost based on their business needs and resources
• Experience in cloud consumption agreements and software licensing practices across all hyperscalers- AWS, Google and Microsoft
• Deliver unit price optimization across hyperscalers- e.g. Savings Plan, Reserved Instance purchases, Committed User Discounts, etc.
• Work with Enterprise Architecture teams to optimize the cost performance of cloud services
• Responsible for financial reporting and creating insightful reports. Analyze monthly actuals against forecast projections with an understanding and explanation of variances
• Design cloud budgeting and forecast models for Business Units and Finance to inform cloud services consumption costs that will be charged back to the respective line of business
• Perform ad-hoc analyses and special projects as required

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED
• Bachelor's/master's degree in computer science, Engineering, Networking, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., FinOps Foundations Certifications)
• At least 5-10 years of experience with enterprise cloud platforms in an engineering/operational/financial management role
• Experience with public cloud cost management and optimization on AWS GCP or Azure
• Strong data analysis and financial modeling skills
• A strong desire to understand how technical cloud infrastructure options impact costs.
• Ability to analyze information, identify opportunities and trends, develop best practice processes, and demonstrate a strong sense of ownership
• You will be a trusted partner to Business Units and Finance in terms of budgeting and forecasting cloud spend
• Ability to build relationships across business lines and departments and positively influence key stakeholders through knowledge transfer, expertise recommendations, and strategic thinking
• Experience in driving enterprise-wide architectural and transformation initiatives, Strategic thinking with the ability to develop and execute long-term technical roadmaps
• Track record of influencing technical decisions across multiple teams
