About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced AVP, Financial Reporting & Controls to join our team at Sun Life Global Investments. Reporting to the Vice President & CFO of Investment Solutions & SLGI Asset Management Inc, you will lead financial reporting and accounting controls.
What you'll be doing
Oversee financial, regulatory, and management reporting for SLGI Asset Management Inc, Sun Life Financial Trust Inc, and Insured Wealth products
Manage fund reporting for SLGI Mutual Funds and Sun GIF Segregated Funds
Lead and develop a team of 3 Directors and their supporting finance managers and analysts
Serve as Chief Financial Officer for Sun Life Financial Trust, presenting to the Board and liaising with OSFI
Drive process automation and efficiency improvements in reporting cycles
Enhance the financial reporting control environment through technology and innovation
Provide strategic insights and value-added advice to Finance and Business leaders
What you'll need to succeed
CPA designation with experience in Investment and/or Financial Services
Proven track record in optimizing reporting and consolidation processes
Strong leadership skills with a focus on team development and talent management
Excellent problem-solving abilities and stakeholder management skills
Robust understanding of controls and risk management
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only as the position includes managing both French and English-speaking staff (Quebec and outside Quebec) and providing daily support to the team.

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance.
