About the role
We're looking for a Bilingual Fraud Manager in Corporate Personal Lines to join our growing team. This position can be located in our Ajax, Toronto, Mississauga, Ottawa, Montreal, Laval or St-Hyacinthe office.
Job Profile Summary:
In this role you will ensure the integrity of IFCs insurance underwriting processes by leading the National Corporate Personal Lines (PL) Fraud Team to proactively identify, investigate, and mitigate instances of internal and external fraud, using a structured national approach. In collaboration with other business units, we will design and implement the policies, procedures, and framework necessary to identify, assess, prevent, detect, and respond to fraudulent activities within personal lines underwriting at IFC and the insurance industry.
What you'll do here:
Develop, recommend, and implement leadership strategies, organizational structure, and processes/technology improvement initiatives relating to fraud.
Support the team in prioritizing fraud activities/initiatives and monitor/report results to various stakeholders.
Collaborate, develop and manage effective working relationships with claims, underwriting, operations, legal and compliance across the country and across distribution channels.
Ensure adherence & compliance to corporate underwriting standards and procedures.
Participate in the preparation of the budget and other management responsibilities as assigned.
Manage financial, material, and human resources to enable the achievement of business strategies and meet customer service standards for the branch and the region.
Recruit and develop employees, set and monitor objectives, and evaluate performance.
Develop methods to inspire and build a highly effective and engaged team capable of meeting the current and future needs through effective leadership.
Continuously keep staff informed on initiatives/results and share responsibility for the overall performance, productivity, and engagement of team members.
Lead by example and live our values every day.

What you bring to the table:
Bilingualism (English and French) is required for this position.
Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
College or University degree or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Minimum 5 to 8 years of relevant experience in leadership and managerial roles.
Strong knowledge of personal lines products and systems.
Leadership ability to influence and motivate people and facilitate change.
Ability to set clear objectives and monitor the progress of multiple initiatives/deadlines.
Ability to monitor competitive practices, industry trends, or other developments impacting business results/fraud trends and make recommendations regarding activities to combat and prevent fraudulent acts.
Strong communication skills and ability to foster and maintain effective professional relationships at all levels of the organization.
People and/or Project Management experience with strong skills in collaboration, coaching and mentoring.
Proven success in team building and managing relationships with a remote team.
Strong critical thinking and analytical skills with insight into different perspectives and approaches.
Ability to master multiple priorities under time constraints with a sense of urgency.
FCIP or CIP designated or actively working towards the designation.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
