The Business Enablement team is designed to drive growth, enhance collaboration, and deliver critical projects and programs. In close partnership with the Vice-President of PMO & Enablement and the extended Leadership team, the Director, Business Enablement will develop and implement our strategic plan to expand our global footprint, foster innovation, and strengthen partnerships across internal teams. What you'll do

Leadership:

  • Lead day-to-day business enablement activities, managing projects, executive reporting, and new initiatives
  • Drive action through analytical thinking and results-focused approach, building trust and alignment across all organizational levels
  • Guide leadership on implementation pace and momentum, ensuring timely resolutions and accountability for decisions
  • Address difficult issues with confidence and optimism, communicating sensitive information effectively and logically
  • Align project priorities with broader organizational strategy, implementing best practices and proactively mitigating risks
  • Mentor and empower team members, fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration
  • Identify and resolve critical business risks, leading change initiatives for seamless transitions and sustained success

Strategy & Planning

  • Establish annual strategic priorities, a comprehensive scorecard, and a clear 'plan on a page' to align teams and ensure focus on high-impact goals
  • Strengthen interlock with TELUS Health Business Enablement teams (Strategy, Finance, P&C, CIO, Legal, Security), Customer-Facing Business Units (CFBUs), and key TELUS stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with TELUS Health's overarching objectives
  • Champion globally recognized engagement programs that reinforce and elevate our best-in-class culture, fostering innovation, inclusion, and high performance
  • Oversee and manage key executive governance forums, contributing critical insights and inputs to TELUS Health's Monthly Executive Governance processes (ex. WD5, Full Monty) and Quarterly sessions (ex. Health Board), ensuring effective decision-making and strategic oversight

Finance Interlock

  • Develop robust financial planning and governance frameworks to enhance visibility into performance metrics and enable informed, effective decision-making
  • Advance financial modeling capabilities to quantify and report the benefits of TELUS synergies, such as retention and cross-sell opportunities, driving tangible value creation efforts
  • Support new business initiatives with detailed financial modeling and alignment to strategic priorities, ensuring a strong foundation for sustainable growth
  • Lead monthly and annual financial reporting and processes, including:
    • Triage, budget, strat check processes in collaboration with Corp Finance
    • Resource management (i.e., FTE & external labour tracking and monitoring)
    • Proactive P&L risks/ opportunities to LT and broader team

Strategic Programs

  • Provide programmatic leadership and expert guidance on high-priority projects and mission-critical issues, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and successful execution
  • Proactively seek out and support new growth initiatives, including strategic partnerships and synergistic collaborations across TELUS teams (ex. Consumer Solutions, TAC, TBS), to unlock value and drive innovation
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms to track progress on critical initiatives, ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Anticipate emerging trends and challenges, providing strategic insights and innovative solutions to position the organization for long-term success

Qualifications

What you bring

  • A relevant bachelor's degree is required, preferably in Business, Management, or Finance
  • A minimum of seven years of experience in business strategy, program management, financial planning, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and managing effective, matrixed relationships across organizations, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders across various business functions and geographies
  • Proven track record of taking ownership of business outcomes, with a "think like an owner" mentality, and delivering results in a proactive and accountable manner
  • Strong ability to manage multiple high-priority projects and stakeholders simultaneously, maintaining strategic focus and organizational clarity
  • Skilled in influencing peers and senior leaders, building consensus amidst ambiguity, and making well-informed decisions or delegating when necessary
  • Ability to make timely, decisive decisions independently while demonstrating exceptional problem-solving capabilities
  • Highly effective in navigating and thriving within ambiguous, complex environments, leveraging strategic insights and a results-driven approach
