Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Total Rewards and HR Operations, the Director, Total Rewards plays a key role in the design, implementation and delivery of compensation programs and initiatives that align with Fiera Capital’s total rewards strategy. You will be involved in key aspects of total rewards, including base salary, short and long-term incentives, and ensuring programs are effective for the attraction and retention of talent, create alignment with business strategies and drive solid performance. Specifically, your group's portfolio will encompass both our Private Markets and Corporate functions.
Ensure compensation practices and programs are aligned with Fiera Capital’s strategic priorities, entrepreneurial culture, market best practices, and legislative requirements;
Build collaborative relationships with HR Business Partners, business leaders, and other compensation team members on total rewards initiatives and identify opportunities for program improvements;
Provide strategic leadership in developing total rewards programs and policies, driving alignment with organizational objectives and compliance with legislative requirements;
Design programs including job architecture, salary structures and management to promote internal equity and fairness in pay;
Lead total rewards projects while providing strategic direction;
Provide leadership and mentoring to their Senior Advisor, Total Rewards.
University degree in Law, Finance, Actuarial Science, Business Administration or Human Resources or a related discipline and a minimum of 10 years of compensation experience, including plan design and implementation as well as presentations to executives;
Experience in Asset Management and specifically in Private Markets is preferred;
Strong financial acumen and understanding of employment law;
Solid knowledge of job leveling frameworks and job evaluation methodologies;
Demonstrated project management skills, including cross functional projects and strong knowledge of Excel (modeling), Word and PowerPoint and experience with creating presentations;
Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with leaders and employees at all levels of the organization;
Aptitude to leverage technology for simplification of processes and minimize manual work;
Excellent analytical, problem solving and financial modeling ability, sound judgment, independent and creative thinking with an eye for detail and accuracy;
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills in dealing proactively with all levels of internal and external stakeholders while being results driven;

For all positions in Quebec (Montreal and Laval), proficiency in French, both spoken and written, is mandatory. Working English proficiency is also required in order to serve our offices and clients around the world.
