About the role

We're looking for a Financial Specialist, Expense Leadership to join our growing team!

The Expense Management function provides guidance on expense management projects by proposing/reviewing various planned and ad hoc expenses savings initiatives and ensuring expense savings initiatives are embedded in the budget and provide insight to senior management on IFC's general expenses on a monthly basis.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and present to senior management monthly expense reports and forecasts while providing actionable insights to support strategic planning and decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline expense processes and drive operational efficiencies
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of expense data to uncover trends, variances and opportunities for cost optimization
  • Monitor integration costs resulting from our acquisitions while also tracking restructuring expenses from strategic decisions and ensure they are reflected in our forecasts and planning exercise
  • Participate in the yearly budget process and coordinate with all regions the necessary requirements to build an exhaustive view of the expense plan
  • Review and monitor cost/benefits analysis of corporate projects and other expenses initiatives, including the tracking of key KPIs
  • Work on various special projects and ad-hoc requests, including expense analysis and optimization of processes

REQUIREMENTS:

  • At least 3-5 years of relevant experience in an accounting firm or industry experience in the role of a financial analyst
  • CPA or CFA designation (asset)
  • Strategic thinking, strong analytical ability and very well organized
  • Be able to clearly communicate the outcome of an analysis and present it in a concise, accurate and effective manner
  • Be autonomous, proactive and have strong teamwork skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country
