Job Description:

The Group Benefits Enrolment & Outsourced Services Lead is primarily focused on Client relationship management and is accountable for onboarding AdminPlus, Sun Life's outsourced services product, and the Member Enrolment tool for new or existing Clients.

They are responsible for managing all components of their assigned projects; developing and optimizing processes; and working in partnership with our Clients, Advisors, Business Development, and all internal stakeholders to deliver quality business solutions and superior Client experiences.

Reporting to the Manager, GB Enrolment & Outsourced Services, the successful candidate joins a team of innovative and dynamic individuals who strive to provide exceptional Client service. As a seasoned project manager, you bring a passion for organization, open communication and delivering on your objectives while managing a diverse portfolio of projects.

What will you do?

  • Define each Client's administrative requirements, employee communication needs and business solutions, using standard benefit/service capabilities

  • Gather accurate and complete Client requirements for the set up of the online member enrolment tool

  • Manage all phases of assigned projects from initiation to closure, applying Project Management best practices including planning, scheduling and risk management; sometimes independently, but also in conjunction with a Project Manager at times

  • Understand and explain the full end to end member experience to ensure the set up and administration is optimized for the best member experience

  • Define the scope of each project and successfully manage scope-creep

  • Create and maintain a detailed project timeline which clearly outlines task assignment & ownership, deliverables and targets allowing for coordinated execution and control

  • Manage Client relationships to ensure project delivery expectations are specified and met

  • Communicate project updates regularly and effectively to ensure all internal and external stakeholders are kept up-to-date

  • Work with multi-site project teams

  • Utilize strong leadership, influencing and facilitation skills to coordinate and drive projects to successful completion

  • Represent the team at finalist presentations and review RFP requests

What do you need to succeed?

  • Solid understanding of Group Benefits and HR administrative systems & practices

  • Skilled at data analysis

  • Strong team player with an interest in dealing directly with both internal and external business partners (ie Clients, Advisors, Business Development, etc.) and working with cross-functional teams

  • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills

  • Proven experience with large, complex projects with multiple components and testing scenarios

  • High comfort level with Microsoft Access, Excel, PowerPoint and Project

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize a wide range of tasks over multiple projects

  • Extensive exposure to Clients with flexible benefit programs, online enrolment functionality, HRIS interface systems and complex payroll administration requirements

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; both written and verbal

  • Ability to quickly build rapport and establish relationships with customers. Relates well to diverse personality types; a strong listener who easily adapts to different customers

  • Exposure to project management techniques, tools and methodologies

  • Strong presentation skills

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide.

Notes: Some travel may be required on occasion between Waterloo, Toronto and Montreal and Overtime may be required during peak periods

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
