At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, more than 80 000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.
Imagine playing a central role in reducing the carbon footprint of Canada's busiest transit system and doing it with a leading, consistently ranked employer with global reach. As a member of the ONxpress consortium, Alstom is proud to be working to transform the collective mobility of the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA) through the On-Corridor Works project, and we are hiring for hundreds of positions. The scope of the GO Expansion project includes new electric locomotives, fleet upgrades, train control systems, network electrification, signalling, telecommunications and digital systems, maintenance, and much more.
Purpose of the Job
To fulfill an ICC (Integrated Control Center) Lead System Engineer mandate within the context of different ICC Projects which typically deliver one ICC System consisting of at least one ICONIS Product and at least one of the following subsystems: SCADA (Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition), ATS (Automated Train Supervision) and MSM (Maintenance and Security Management).
It is important to mention that the Lead System Engineer combines a leadership role with a technical one, mainly because he/she is the technical leader of the System Engineering Team and at the same time, the owner of the System documentation, responsible of the cohesion between the System level and the Subsystem level. In a first phase, the ICC Lead System Engineer will participate in detailed specification definition on the Go Expansion Project.
