Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Forensic Accounting position in Montreal, QC from May- Aug 2025.

Job Summary

The Intern, Forensic Accounting is responsible for carrying out duties under the supervision and guidance of the Forensic Accounting Management. The incumbent participates in completing assignments related to forensic investigations and data analytics initiatives.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in the executing forensic investigations
  • Extract data from CN systems and ensure information completeness and accuracy
  • Perform investigation steps, including data analytics and inspection of documents
  • Evaluate information and provide a preliminary assessment
  • Provide documentation in support of forensic investigations

Requirements

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Time management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
  • Experience in data analytics*

Education

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's Degree or Master's Degree program in one of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Information and Technology (I&T), or areas related to the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) profile

*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
