Canadian National Railway Company (CN) is looking for a highly motivated person to fulfill a full-time (40h/week) Intern, Internal Audit position in Montreal, QC from May- Aug 2025.

Job Summary

The Intern, Internal Audit is responsible for assisting with execution of Internal Audit projects, which includes performing audit procedures and data analysis to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of business processes and controls. The position contributes to the identification of practical audit observations, aiming to strengthen and streamline existing processes.

Major Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution of Internal Audit projects
  • Carry out audit procedures and data analysis to evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of business processes
  • Perform audit work in accordance with professional standards
  • Provide documentation in support of Internal Audit findings
  • Evaluate information and provide a preliminary assessment
  • Assist in the preparation of audit reports and management action plans

Requirements

  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
  • Fluently bilingual both written and verbal (English, French)
  • Experience in data analytics*

Education

  • Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree program in one of the following areas: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Information and Technology (I&T) or other areas related to the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) profile

*Any experience/education/skills/knowledge for these above would be considered as an asset
