We are looking for an internal control analyst, project who will have the opportunity to discover, acquire, and apply skills and knowledge concerning the accounting cycle and financial reporting activities of a publicly traded company. You will also benefit from good visibility among several of the organization's departments and divisions.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Perform special mandates and project assistance (mostly system-related projects) requested by upper management.
  • Review and document business processes (via flowchart, narratives).
  • Assess control design and test the control effectiveness of non-key controls identified, including IT Automated Controls (ITAC), in order to mitigate important risks that could prevent the achievement of business objectives.
  • Proactively identify issues presenting a risk to the certification of financial information.
  • Participate in appraising the adequacy of corrective actions taken by operating management to improve reported deficient conditions.
  • As part of "Implementation of Internal Controls Optimization", identify areas of potential improvement for key processes and procedures, and support management by leveraging analytics tools.
  • Properly identify and assess the risks of processes under review (which may include projects, regulations, and/or systems).

YOU'LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, accounting, or finance.
  • Have or be in the process of obtaining an accounting certification (CPA).
  • Knowledge of IT, systems and managing projects would be an asset.
  • At least five (5) years of relevant experience in big 4 accounting firms.
  • Mandatory bilingualism, written and spoken (English/French).
  • The ability to prioritize and drive results in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Committed to delivering quality performance while maintaining high ethical professional standards.
  • The ability to work in a team, show initiative, rigour, autonomy and intellectual curiosity.
  • Attention to detail; excellent analysis and synthesis skills.
  • Self-sufficiency and initiative.
  • Passion and curiosity with respect to BRP products, customers and markets.
