About the role

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced team manager to lead and mentor a team of 4-6 people. The manager will be responsible for supervising the daily activities of the team, promoting a collaborative work environment, and ensuring the achievement of team objectives.

Main Responsibilities:

Report Development and Management:

  • Design, develop, and maintain reports and dashboards to track the performance of the procurement group at both the Canadian and global levels.
  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to identify information needs and ensure data accuracy.
  • Automate report production processes to improve efficiency and reduce the risk of errors.

Data Analysis:

  • Analyze company expenses to provide management teams with relevant decision-making information.
  • Identify savings, trends, consolidation opportunities, and areas needing improvement.
  • Present analysis results clearly and concisely through reports and presentations.

Management of Reporting Tools:

  • Manage and optimize data production and visualization tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.).
  • Ensure the maintenance and updating of information production systems (Ariba and Oracle) to guarantee their performance and reliability.
  • Train internal users on how to use the information production tools and provide ongoing support.

Data Quality and Integrity:

  • Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in reports.
  • Implement data quality control processes to detect and correct anomalies.
  • Collaborate with IT teams and other departments to ensure data consistency across systems.

Purchase Order (PO) Management:

  • Oversee the process of creating, approving, and tracking purchase orders.
  • Ensure compliance with the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable team to resolve order-related issues.
  • Approve purchase orders of $50K and above.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Research and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize information production processes.
  • Keep abreast of technological advancements and best practices in information production and data management.
  • Regularly assess the company's information production needs and propose improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
  • Relevant work experience in data analysis.
  • Proven experience in team management, preferably with teams of similar size.
  • CPA professional designation is an asset.
  • Experience in information production, data analysis, and management of data visualization tools.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Ariba is an asset.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret data sets.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to present data clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment, manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and challenge the status quo.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
