About the role

What you'll do here:

• Configure, upgrade, support and maintain the Control M environment. Including Control M Enterprise Manager, Servers, Agents, and Plug-ins.

• Ensure an appropriate level of reliability of the platform and the scheduled jobs being executed.

• Manage and support job schedule tasks and batch workflows, including quality technical customer service to our Control M users.

• Collaborate on ideas to improve automation practices.

• Take charge of change requests (RFCs), service requests, problem solving and incidents.

• Participate in various projects to improve our infrastructure and scheduling efficiency.

• Strictly maintain team standards and documentation to ensure continuity of operations.

• Assist with the resolution of escalated issues and actively participating in problem management activities.

• Be available for on-call support (Rotation).

What you bring to the table:

• Degree or Diploma in Information Technology with focus on Middleware and/or Unix System Administration, or any combination of equivalent education and experience. Key areas include:

  • General knowledge of Control M environment and associated API's.

  • Knowledge of Unix environment and associated commands.

  • Knowledge of Windows environment and associated commands.

  • Knowledge of OpenShift and GitHub environments.

  • Knowledge of SSL certificates and SSH keys.

• Customer service focused. Displaying professionalism and welcoming characteristics.

• Can meet deadlines and handle sensitive and pressure situations.

• Can identify issues and help develop strategic and tactical plans.

• Organized and able to prioritize work effectively.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent communications skills.

• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.

• No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada
