Job Description:
Location: Hybrid (needs to be 2 days/week in office)
As a member of the Payout Annuity Team, the incumbent will be responsible for the successful implementation of new plans and plan changes related to Defined Benefit (DB) Plans for Group Retirement Services. The incumbent will work in partnership with the DB Solutions Team to support various services related to group annuity purchase.
What will you do:
Review and analyse quotes, plan rules and data to ensure that information is complete and accurate.
Manage all aspect of the data upload to the source system to on board all plan members.
Work with internal partners to issue welcome packages to all plan members.
Document plan rules and other information needed for proper plan administration on a day-to-day basis.
Act as Subject Matter Expert on the administration of Defined benefit plans
Provide support to the Payout Annuity Team on plan rules and other complex matters.
Take part in the various quality control and audit processes.
Support the knowledge management duties related to deferred annuities
What do you need to succeed:
University degree in actuarial science or related field of study
Minimum of 5 years of experience in Defined Benefits or Group Retirement Services
Bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada and worldwide.
Expertise in working with large volume of data in Microsoft Excel
Excellent customer service skills
Analytical and problem solving skills
Organizational skills and ability to prioritize in order to achieve tight delivery dates
Ability to work in a team environment with minimum supervision

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
