Working Business Language: Bilingual in French and English. This role is considered a head-office role and will be required to communicate with internal and external stakeholders across Canada where the primary business language for this role is English. As such, the successful candidate must be fully proficient in English.

Job Overview

The Field Marketing Manager will act as the primary driver to plan, execute, and oversee integrated marketing activities for Quebec to grow Wawanesa's brand presence and strengthen existing relationships with members and brokers. The role will also support local broker and member acquisition and retention efforts. This role is part of the Marketing and Communications department, and reports to the Manager, Broker Marketing and will work closely with the regional business development teams, Corporate Marketing, Communications, and other internal stakeholders to ideate, facilitate, and execute in region events, sponsorships, and marketing campaigns.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute an integrated regional marketing plan aligned with overall marketing and regional business development objectives.
  • Support and align with the business development team's priorities and focus on driving pipeline and revenue. Understand and deploy different marketing strategies and plans to build brand awareness and strengthen relationships with brokers.
  • Integrated Campaign Management: Creating and implementing marketing campaigns tailored to the specific needs and preferences of the target audience in the region. Adapt national campaigns to the region's needs in partnership with Corporate Marketing and local agencies.
  • Develop region specific brand and product campaigns, and support the execution of local community, sustainability, and regional specific brand-building initiatives.
  • Establishing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including local brokers, business development partners, and local influencers.
  • Providing local business development support through facilitating the creation of presentations, product guides, and other collateral.
  • Plan and execute local events, trade shows, and sponsorships to drive brand awareness and lead in partnership with Corporate Events and Marketing teams and regional business development teams.
  • Tracking and analyzing the effectiveness of Field Marketing initiatives, measuring campaign success, and making data-driven decisions to optimize marketing strategies.
  • Research, monitor regional competitor and regulatory activities and industry trends.
  • Identify and capitalize on market trends, competitor activities, and opportunities for growth within the region.
  • Adapt marketing materials and communications to meet Bill 96 requirements, ensuring all content is professionally translated and culturally sensitive for the Quebec region.

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary diploma in business, marketing, communications, or related field.
  • 8+ years of marketing experience with at least 3 years in a B2B field marketing role in the insurance industry or a similar B2B2C model.
  • Fully bilingual (French and English).
  • B2B and B2C marketing experience required.
  • Proven track record of designing and developing successful marketing programs that drive acquisition and retention efforts across the full product lifecycle.
  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing campaign activity including the allocation and management of campaign budgets.
  • Events experience an asset.
  • Proven experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software, and digital marketing tools and tactics, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content marketing and marketing planning tools (WRIKE) is an asset.
  • Strong writing and verbal communications skills.
  • Proven ability to thrive in an agile, matrixed, and evolving organization and industry.
  • Strong team player, with ability to influence as well as adapt.
  • Experience in insurance sector an asset.
  • Self-motivated, who can work independently and proactively to resolve issues and take ownership of tools and processes with minimal supervision.
  • Flexible and willing to travel within the designated region as required.
