Sr Business Analyst Role Overview:

What YOU Get to Do:

Manage projects, clients and vendors to deliver on program initiatives, and support the team to develop requirements, ensure quality deliverables and contribute to other aspects of the software delivery lifecycle. Specifically:

  • Lead multiple strategic projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and quality targets
  • Manage projects end-to-end, from ideation through planning, execution and launch
  • Develop project plans, estimates, negotiate resources and provide project administration support
  • Monitor project status, manage issues and risks, and adjust plans as needed
  • Provide regular status updates and presentations to stakeholders
  • Collaborate with clients, business stakeholders, vendors, technical resources, and external customers
  • Efficiently communicate with stakeholders to manage expectations and project progress
  • Lead and facilitate workshops and focus groups to align priorities with client vision
  • Define and document business, clinical, and end-user requirements
  • Perform requirements assessments and translate requirements into specific system specifications
  • Conduct gap analysis between requirements and available solutions
  • Perform options assessments with impact analysis of alternatives
  • Document end-to-end business workflows and operational support processes
  • Develop and update project deliverables including roadmaps, feasibility studies, business processes, work plans and various requirement documents
  • Oversee quality management and system validation processes
  • Develop test plans and scripts, perform testing and validation tasks
  • Partner with business teams to develop and execute process improvements
  • Assist in developing recommendations to meet project deliverables

Qualifications

What YOU Bring:

A Professional Designation/Certification:

  • A graduate or undergraduate degree in business administration, health informatics, engineering, computer science, health management, clinical profession, a related discipline or relevant experience
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), or International Institute of Business Analysis (IIBA) certification an asset

Required Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst in service operations or consumer business environments
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google productivity tools
  • Experience in healthcare, particularly in clinical system or IT implementation
  • Experience working with large government clients or healthcare organizations
  • Demonstrated understanding of software design, implementation, and deployment processes, including:
    • Client and vendor management
    • Requirements gathering
    • Privacy and security considerations
    • System and business readiness assessment
    • Process improvement and change management
    • Issue management
    • Training development and delivery
    • Operational support planning
  • Strong communication skills
  • Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities
  • Capacity to make sound recommendations to key stakeholders

Advanced knowledge of English is required because you will most of the time interact in English with external parties (clients, suppliers, candidates, external partners, etc.); interact in English with internal parties (colleagues, internal partners, stakeholders, etc.); and work with IT tools whose interface is only accessible in English as part of this position's main responsibilities given its national scope.
