About the role
We're looking for a Senior Communications Advisor to join our growing team!
The Corporate Communications team leads Intact Financial Corporation's Internal and External Communications in support of IFC's business objectives and strategic roadmap. This includes:
Supporting and amplifying the common elements that bring us together, define our unique culture and drive outperformance
Enhancing employee engagement across IFC - emphasizing what makes us a winning team
Protecting and promoting the IFC brand and reputation globally
Elevating IFC's role in helping to build resilient communities where we do business
Amplifying IFC' knowledge, expertise and thought leadership in our key markets
The Senior Communications Advisor for National Real Estate is responsible for relationship management and strategic communications planning with IFC Canada's National Real Estate and Corporate Services Teams, as well as the Health and Safety team. The Senior Communications Advisor will work closely with these partners to build proactive and integrated communications plans to support IFC's business objectives and its 29 office locations across Canada. This includes developing strategic communications plans and content, executional excellence, with a consistent focus on employee engagement.
What you'll do here
Strategic Communications
Establish strong relationships with business partners to understand their needs, collaborate, effectively plan, develop and execute strategies and tactics that support the National Real Estate and Corporate Service teams' strategic priorities. Partners include:
National Real Estate and Corporate Service teams
Health and Safety team
IT team
Strategic Internal Communications team
Collaborate with partners across the business to connect the dots and leverage best practices.
Build and execute yearly strategic communications plans with regular touchpoints throughout the year to review plans and track progress against objectives.
Create effective, consistent communications appropriate for the intended audiences and channels. This includes developing strategic plans, communications objectives, key messages and Q&As for specific projects or initiatives to:
Strengthen awareness of the National Real Estate and Corporate Services teams' strategic priorities
Improve awareness of health and safety resources and protocols
Create engaging communications
Promote enhancements to employee in-office experience
Drive engagement through departmental communications
Propose innovative and creative ways to tell stories and achieve objectives across internal platforms and channels. Use multimedia tactics, including intranet articles, presentations, SharePoint sites and newsletters.
Work closely with subject matter experts, business units and other stakeholders to gather inputs and effectively manage projects.
Set clear outcomes, KPIs and other success metrics for all projects. Provide recommendations based on findings and learnings.
Manage internal communications platforms, including SharePoint sites and shared mailboxes. This includes collaborating with partners, developing and maintaining best practices, and measuring communication effectiveness.
Develop and maintain editorial calendars working with the Editorial Committee and the Strategic Internal Communications team to schedule communications.

What You Bring to the Table
Bachelor's degree in communications/mass media/editing, or any combination of equivalent education and experience
At least 7 years of experience
Excellent writing skills
Ability to create alignment among multiple stakeholders and build relationships.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and expectations.
Highly organized and able to manage workflow efficiently with autonomy and flexibility and without continuous supervision.
Team player with a positive attitude.
Fluency with certain graphic or video production/editing tools (such as Photoshop or Canvas) an asset
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
