About the role

About Job

We are looking for a professional Instructional Designer to design and develop our learning and practicing programs for our growing HRdirect Call Center team.

This newly created role will be responsible for identifying the performance, skills, knowledge, information and attitude gaps and create, select and suggest learning experiences to fill these gaps.

You will take on the challenge of wearing multiple hats, playing the role of facilitator, innovator, researcher, and developer advancing the learning experiences of our HRdirect team and facilitate the team's acquisition of knowledge.

What you'll do here:

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content for the HRdirect team and also for IFC managers and employees on HR matters (for example Contact People Help.

  • Proactively identifies opportunities for training and work with subject matter experts to identify training needs for the HRdirect team and also IFC managers and employees.

  • Set instructional end goals and create content that matches them.

  • Analyze and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and instructional design .

  • Provide exercises and activities that enhance the team's learning process.

  • Work with our Learning & Development team in creating supporting media material

  • Devise modes of assessment, such as tests or quizzes, to measure the effectiveness of the course.

  • Maintain project documentation and course folders.

  • Responsible for creating, maintaing and developing training project plan.

What you bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Instructional Design, Adult Education, or a related subject, or equivalent work experience

  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of instructional design experience

  • In-depth knowledge of learning theories and instructional design models

  • Lesson and curriculum planning skills

  • Basic HTML and Flash programming knowledge

  • Visual design skills (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, Illustrator)

  • Ability to write effective copy, instructional text, audio and video scripts

  • Outstanding organizational skills.

  • Attention to details.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Excellent analytical skills.

  • Demonstrates initiative, good judgment and autonomy.

  • Capacity to adapt rapidly in an ever-changing environment.

  • Bilingualism in French and English required - Need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • Positive attitude, autonomy, and strong sense of ethics

  • Montreal, (2020, Robert-Bourassa boulevard)
