About the role

SEO Specialist, Digital Platforms

*Please note that this is a temporary 12-month position

We are looking for a passionate and experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing team!

Reporting to the Director of Digital Platforms, you will play a key role in optimizing SEO performance, user experience, and the growth of our multi-platform portfolio. You will be responsible for developing and optimizing our website's SEO strategy to increase organic traffic, optimize conversion rates, and achieve our growth objectives.

Your Role:

  • Develop and implement SEO strategies to identify optimization opportunities, improve search engine rankings, and generate positive business results.

  • Manage growth initiatives to increase website traffic and improve conversion rates.

  • Conduct regular SEO audits, monitor results, produce detailed reports, and present key findings to executives and external partners.

  • Monitor website performance, keyword relevance, competitive landscape, and market trends.

  • Collaborate with different teams and stakeholders to create synergy between organic and paid marketing.

  • Optimize website structure, including information architecture, meta tags, XML sitemaps, redirects, etc.

  • Ensure page load speed and mobile compatibility optimization.

  • Verify, implement, and track accessibility standards (WCAG).

  • Provide recommendations to improve content relevance and optimize targeted keywords.

  • Manage and enhance quality backlinks to strengthen site authority.

  • Promote SEO best practices among developers, designers, content managers, and external partners.

  • Use analytics tools (Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, etc.) to track, analyze, and report on SEO performance.

  • Provide data-driven recommendations to improve results.


Your Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in SEO and performance marketing.

  • Proven success in SEO optimization and improving business results.

  • Mastery of SEO best practices (tags, links, sitemap, content).

  • In-depth knowledge of performance marketing, conversion, and acquisition techniques.

  • Experience in conversion rate optimization is a significant asset.

  • Proficiency with SEO tools (Google Search Console, Siteimprove, SEMrush) and analytics tools (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics).

  • Strong ability to analyze data and interpret results to guide strategic decisions.

  • Ability to explain technical concepts to non-experts, synthesize key points, and communicate information effectively.

  • Initiative, proactive, and results-oriented mindset.

  • Organizational skills, resourcefulness, ability to learn quickly, and adaptability in a fast-paced and changing environment.

  • Solution-oriented, ability to challenge the status quo, and innovate.

  • Team spirit with a positive attitude and collaborative approach.

  • Project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously is a significant asset.

  • Bilingualism (English/French) - need to interact on a regular basis with colleagues across the country.

  • No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
