Job Description:

Sun Life is on a journey to share our story and we have a unique opportunity for a skilled employer brand practitioner to join a dedicated team focused on the ongoing evolution and development of a stronger and more influential employer brand. What will you do?

  • Develop innovative employer brand programs to drive measurable impact. Amplify our employer brand internally and externally with a strategic approach to research, planning, and execution

  • Partners with Human Resources, Marketing, Communications and business leaders on shaping up strategies targeted to attract, engage and retain talent by sharing the Sun Life experience and culture

  • Create on-brand digital assets and social media content in partnership with key stakeholders for multiple lines of business and geographies (design)

  • Craft employee and talent brand narratives for a variety of channels and formats (copywriting)

  • Tracks and evaluates impact of strategies and campaigns through metrics and ROI analysis and provides recommendations to maximize results

  • Act as a partner to the global Sun Life community to enable authentic communication of our culture and grow awareness of our organization as a great place to work. Take part in cross-functional initiatives as a subject matter expert

What do you need to succeed?

  • Experience developing and implementing talent brand activation strategies, communication strategies and/or recruitment marketing

  • Ability to conceptualize original content and bring it to life to tell a differentiated talent story. Well-honed copywriting skills and proven experience crafting impactful narratives, including the ability to tailor messages to varied audiences and cultures

  • A strong aptitude for graphic design, somewhere between intermediate proficiency with tools like Canva and being highly skilled with Adobe Creative Suite to execute asset development against well-defined brand guidelines

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate the impact of Talent Branding initiatives through data

  • Strong communication and ability to develop and nurture productive business relationships by establishing trust and partnership

  • Demonstrated project management skills and an ability to get things done, balanced with a consultative mindset

  • Demonstrated ability to produce quality work in a collaborative, fast-paced matrixed environment, balancing high production with the delivery of longer-term objectives

  • As this position is posted in several locations, we specify that bilingualism (French, English, both oral and written) is required for Quebec only for the frequent interactions with English and French-speaking colleagues or internal partners across Canada or worldwide

Assets, but not mandatory:

  • BA/BS degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources, business administration or related field

The Base Pay range is for the primary location for which the job is posted. It may vary depending on the work location of the successful candidate or other factors. In addition to Base Pay, eligible Sun Life employees participate in various incentive plans, payment under which is discretionary and subject to individual and company performance. Certain sales focused roles have sales incentive plans based on individual or group sales results.
