The Advisor, Tax Compliance - North America is responsible for ensuring the compliance of BRP’s Canadian legal entities with the Canadian tax legislations. In this role, they must monitor the evolution of different tax legislations and determine and communicate its impacts or opportunities for BRP. The selected candidate will also actively participate in the research and implementation of strategies in order to mitigate the negative impacts of these changes or to benefit opportunities.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Manage the end-to-end tax compliance process for certain entities of the group ;
  • Identify and document tax risks and propose any relevant mitigation strategies ;
  • Organize, prepare, and explain the result of the tax accounting process for certain entities of the group ;
  • Manage certain tax audits ;
  • Analyze current processes and develop and implement continuous improvement solutions ;
  • Develop strong relationships with the Legal and Treasury departments and provide ongoing support to the different business units.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Recognized professional title in accounting
  • Master's degree in taxation or equivalent an asset
  • Excellent analytical and synthetic ability
  • Knowledge of English (oral and written)
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in tax compliance
  • Good management of priorities and deadlines

The incumbent of this position may work from the facilities of the company located in downtown Montreal or Valcourt, Eastern Townships.
