About the role

We're looking for a Unit Manager, WFM, to join our growing team!

12-month temporary employment.

What you'll do here:

  • Establish strategy and actions required at a high level to ensure the team achieves corporate objectives.
  • Effectively manage a workforce planning team in charge of intraday, schedule production and long-range planning, coordinating workload and tracking deliverables.
  • Leads, assists and trains team to achieve and monitor telephone and transactional business objectives.
  • Establish processes to ensure prompt handling and resolution of requests and ensure follow-up.
  • Plan, manage and respect the operating cost budget allocated to his teams.
  • Apply and promote best practices in change management (lead by example, get involved, mobilize).
  • Motivate team to excellence and achieves a consistent and sustained level of commitment.
  • May be called upon to participate/lead certain projects related to the expertise of your team.


What you will bring to the table:

  • University degree (business, mathematics, statistics, economics, computer science, engineering, actuarial science), or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
  • 3 to 5 years experience in a workforce planning department (an asset) or any combination of education and experience deemed relevant to this position.
  • Experience in management, coaching, or mentoring.
  • Knowledge of our personal and commercial lines underwriting operations (an asset).
  • Knowledge of Nice-WFM and Avaya software (an asset).
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Influential leadership.
  • Customer focus.
  • Adaptability to a changing environment and ability to keep abreast of the latest approaches and trends in the Workforce Planning world.
  • Quick to learn and think strategically to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to collaborate.
  • No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
  • For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
