About the role
We are currently looking for an Intermediate Quality Assurance Analyst (II) to work as part of our Development team. Your role will be to perform a variety of tasks to test and analyze software with the aim of improving systems, workflows and profitability. The degree of complexity may vary throughout the project lifecycle. Depending on the scope of the project, testing and analysis may cover a number of platforms, so that program logic can be verified in detail, while ensuring that business requirements are met.
What you'll do here:
Analyze and translate organizational requirements, functional and technical specifications into test requirements.
Produce test deliverables, test cases, test plans, test estimates and any other deliverables required in your area, in compliance with Intact standards, processes and procedures.
Detect, document, prioritize and verify issues. Work closely with development team members to resolve them. Perform sufficient analysis to determine the root cause of defects.
Provide technical support and advice.
Occasionally, analysis and programming may also be required.
What you'll bring to the table:
DEC or AEC in a computer-related field, or any other combination of experience and related training deemed relevant.
Minimum 3 years' experience in testing.
Knowledge of automated testing tools (DevOps with SQL management Studio).
Analytical mind and attention to detail.
Ability to prioritize, manage and adapt to changes.
Problem-solving skills.
Very good experience with object-oriented concepts.
Experience with Web application development (an asset).
Experience with SQL language.
Experience with PowerShell.
Experience with Active Directory (an asset).
Knowledge of Agile development approaches.
Team player, willing to contribute and receive feedback.
Bilingualism required (FR-EN) - For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English speaking colleagues across the country.
No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
