About this opportunity:
Cenovus is currently looking for a Control Center OT Systems & Infrastructure Senior Supervisor based in our Lloydminster Office.
This role ensures the safe and successful daily operation of Control Center technologies, hardware, and Midstream OT assets by enforcing strict adherence to regulatory requirements and Midstream expectations among all team members. The individual in this position is accountable for developing and executing sustainable strategies for growth and reliability, with a strong emphasis on technology development, team professional training, strategy, and budgeting. As a leader, they must drive Control Room Management expectations and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout Midstream, leading by example. Additionally, they are responsible for leading and assisting in continuous improvement initiatives and dedicating resources for projects, acting as the face of the Midstream OT Team
The top three deliverables for this role are: Ensuring Regulatory Compliance: Strict adherence to regulatory requirements and Midstream expectations by all team members; Strategy Development and Execution: Creating and implementing sustainable strategies for growth, reliability, and technology development; and Leadership and Continuous Improvement: Driving Control Room Management expectations, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, mentoring, and leading improvement initiatives.

What you'll do:
Team Development: Foster team goals, mentor, and coach team members, and prepare future leaders
Compliance and Adherence: Ensure adherence to the Control Room Management Program and support the Control Room Management Plan (CRMP) and Management of Change (MOC) process
Financial Stewardship: Manage financial budgets and validate metrics
Performance Management: Develop, coach, and mentor team members, conduct performance reviews, and set individual performance metrics
Operational Improvement: Lead improvement initiatives, identify new technologies, and optimize control center operations and strategy execution
Emergency Response: Lead the Control Center OT team during emergencies in compliance with emergency response procedures
Collaboration: Work with other leaders and third parties to ensure consistent messaging and operational improvements
Project Management: Provide resources and clear deliverables for Control Center OT related projects
Technology and Training: Identify gaps, provide closure plans, and support professional training specific to Control center operational technologies
Documentation and Communication: Provide communication, documentation, support, and expertise
Procedure Development: Review, update, and develop procedures, policies, and training materials
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
12 years' experience in Midstream, Oil & Gas and Petrochemical industries preferred.
Awareness and experience with SCADA (including PLM and Liquids systems)
Awareness and experience with Leak Detection software (RTTM and simulation)
Experience and knowledge of Control Room Management Regulations
Working knowledge of Leak Detection and SCADA related regulatory requirements (US and Canada)
Working knowledge of simulator systems and training operations using simulation systems
Alarm management software and principal knowledge
Working knowledge of Electrical, Instrumentation and hydraulic principles; Design and construction practices; Industry Codes, project commissioning, standards and regulations
Experience developing and documenting work standards and practices
Keen safety awareness and knowledge of safe work practices
Strong networking and cyber security knowledge/awareness for OT systems
Extensive experience Managing personnel and budgets
Extensive experience with creating and executing team strategy and objectives.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
