Job Description: The Laboratory Information System Technologist is responsible for laboratory information system application development and support including the integration of new technologies and service goals with laboratory processes.

Human Resources Exemption: No

Experience

  • Four (4) years experience as a Medical Laboratory Technologist
  • Two (2) years experience working with the Laboratory Information System

Education

  • Medical Laboratory Technology diploma (MLT)

Licenses

  • Registered Medical Laboratory Technologist (MLT)

Other Education and Training

  • LIS software training

  • Knowledge in computer systems integration in a clinical environment
  • Ability to work independently
  • Knowledge in laboratory operation and specific disciplines integrated processes
