Reporting to the Senior Manager Compensation, the Total Rewards Partner is responsible for supporting the design and delivery of our US compensation programs in alignment with TMX’s strategic business requirements. The role will also be accountable for the day to day management of the US employee benefit programs. This position will be integral to supporting the execution of a forward thinking total reward strategy informed by market research, best practices and the diverse needs of TMX employees.Key Accountabilities:
Collaborate with business leaders and HR Business Partners across the US businesses to support the development and delivery of broad-based compensation programs, pay structures and compensation frameworks
Provide ongoing education and support to Business leaders, HR Business Partners and Talent Partners with respect to compensation plans, policies and processes
Conduct job evaluations to ensure continued internal alignment, pay equity compliance and improve education/communication and build trust with business areas
Support the administration of the annual year-end compensation process, including testing the system to ensure accuracy and efficiency, coordinating recommendations and managing reporting requirements with a focus on delivering an outstanding client experience
Supports the annual compensation market surveys, compiling data and developing analyses to assess and monitor potential competitive issues. Prepares preliminary observations and recommendations for review with stakeholders
Provides analytical support, as the need arises on sales compensation programs
Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards governing compensation and benefits practices
Support the administration of employee benefit programs such as health, dental, STD, LTD, life insurance, employee assistance, absences and other related programs and Workday processes for US based employees to sustain a culture that attracts, engages, retains and rewards employees
Support the annual renewals and open enrollment process for US benefit plan(s)
Supports and works closely with members of the Total Rewards team on implementation projects globally
Supports new employee orientation sessions on our benefit, pension and wellness programs, contributing to a positive onboarding employee experience
Work closely with members of the Total Rewards team, HR Business Partners as well as the Payroll team for any leaves that affect benefits, employee share purchase plan and pension contributions
Actively participate in total rewards projects engaging multiple stakeholders across functions using well-established project planning and change management skills
Must haves:
Minimum of 5+ years progressive experience in a similar compensation and benefits related capacity
Excellent relationship management, communication, and consulting skills; interacting with Business Leaders, HR stakeholders and other client groups with a high level of professionalism
Solid understanding of compensation and benefits principles, program design and processes
Undergraduate degree or equivalent preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or a related field
Client Centric and exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Advanced MS Office skills or Google equivalent
Excellent quantitative and data analysis skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight timelines without compromising the integrity of highly sensitive information
Highly motivated, self-starter, requiring little direction
Nice to haves:
Workday/HRIS system experience
Experience with sales compensation plans
Completion or progress toward CCP or PHR/SPHR designation preferred
Note: New York City (Hybrid role) 2 days in office
Salary Range: $95,000/year - $120,000/year USD
