We are currently seeking a talented individual to join our Corporate Services team. This position leads corporate finance and risk to ensure financial integrity, accountability, and internal controls. Responsibilities include developing, implementing, and overseeing policies and services to maximize budget utilization and manage departmental expenditures. Reporting to the ADM of Corporate Services, the Director supports the Deputy Minister and senior management team through value added financial analysis and forecasting, minimizes property and liability risks, ensures legislative compliance, and reduces legal liabilities through a strong corporate risk program.

Essential Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, commerce or a related field,
• Significant experience in a public sector environment with financial management in a full-cycle accounting system,
• Experience directing, managing, and coaching, a team in the provision of finance,
• Experience overseeing and supporting compliance, policy requirements and legislative obligations.
• Recognized accounting designation (i.e. CPA, CA, CGA etc.) is an asset

Candidates who have education, training, and/or experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
