This is a permanent full-time position, working 75 hours bi-weekly.

The Finance and Information Management branch provides financial services, support and systems management; IT and information management advice and support (ATIPP and records management etc.); as well as managing the department's public facing-library.
The Director, Finance and Information Management is responsible for leading and directing the department's financial, administrative and systems management services. This includes managing the branch units and leading the development and implementation of branch accountability plans, strategic, short and long-term plans and overall branch goals, objectives and priorities.

Essential Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in business administration, economics, commerce or a related field
• A master's degree in business administration (concentration in finance), another master's level management program or successful completion of a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA or CGA), or equivalent program is an asset
• Experience in accounting, auditing, budgeting, financial planning and analysis or other financial activities
• Considerable experience managing the delivery of senior-level financial, human and administrative services
• Considerable experience developing, implementing, and evaluating corporate finance programs, policies and strategies
• Experience advising senior management on financial management strategies and operational directives to meet fiscal challenges and goals
• Experience establishing performance standards and preparing financial reports for senior management
Candidates who have related training/coursework combined with extensive experience equivalent to the essential qualifications listed above may be equally considered.
